Couples Therapy
In Person in Los Angeles & Online Throughout California
I work with couples who want to improve communication, deepen understanding, and work through conflict. Whether you're at an impasse, feeling disconnected, or finding yourselves having the same arguments over and over, therapy offers a supportive space to slow down and better understand what's happening between you.
My approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded. In therapy, I explore each partner's experiences, cultural background, and what was modeled to them, while weaving that understanding into the work we do together as a couple. We'll look at the cycles that shape your relationship and work toward creating new ways of relating to one another.
Areas of Focus
Communication & Recurring Conflict
When the same conversations keep turning into arguments, therapy can help you slow things down, understand what’s happening underneath the conflict, and find more productive ways to communicate.
Disconnection & Relationship Repair
You may still care deeply about each other but feel distant, misunderstood, or unsure how to reconnect. We’ll work to understand what’s getting in the way and create opportunities for repair and greater understanding.
Trust & Relationship Ruptures
Whether trust has been affected by a specific experience or has gradually eroded over time, therapy provides space to understand the impact, work through difficult emotions, and consider what rebuilding trust might look like.
Life Transitions & Major Decisions
Moving, career changes, family planning, becoming parents, or other major transitions can shift a relationship in unexpected ways. Therapy helps you navigate these changes together and make decisions with greater clarity.
ADHD & Neurodivergent Relationships
Differences in focus, organization, follow-through, emotional regulation, or expectations can create recurring tension. We’ll work to better understand these differences and find ways of relating that feel supportive to both partners.
Boundaries, Codependency & Non-Monogamy
Therapy can support partners navigating boundaries, codependent patterns, or open and non-monogamous dynamics. We’ll create space to talk honestly about your needs, expectations, and what actually works for your relationship.
What Therapy May Look Like
Couples therapy often involves slowing down conversations that feel difficult, repetitive, or emotionally charged so we can better understand what's happening underneath them. Together, we'll identify the cycles you get caught in, explore the emotions and needs driving them, and work toward interactions that feel more connected and effective.
