Hi, I’m Dr. Brooke Kaufman
On the outside, it might look like you're holding things together—managing work, relationships, caregiving responsibilities, or daily demands. Inside, though, you may feel anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, or constantly questioning yourself.
I work with adults—professionals, creatives, students, and caregivers—who often feel responsible, capable, and stretched thin. Many are navigating anxiety, ADHD, perfectionism, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, or life transitions, and find themselves wondering what is sustainable, what feels meaningful, and how to keep moving forward without losing themselves in the process.
In our work together, we'll explore what's underneath the pressure—the patterns, expectations, and self-doubt that keep you feeling stuck or disconnected. I help clients manage anxiety, better understand ADHD, build self-compassion, quiet inner criticism, and develop tools that support a more steady and intentional way of living.
My approach draws from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and insight-oriented work to help you understand what's getting in the way and create meaningful change. For couples, I draw from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support communication, repair, and connection.
I’m an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist with experience supporting clients from diverse racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds. You’re welcome to bring all parts of yourself into the work, and I’m committed to creating a space that feels supportive, collaborative, and grounded.
I believe therapy works best when it balances insight with practical change. While understanding where patterns come from can be valuable, I also want clients to leave sessions with a clearer sense of how to move forward in their daily lives.
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist providing therapy for adults and couples throughout California. Based in Los Angeles, I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin and earned my doctorate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley. Before private practice, I worked across hospitals, clinics, and community mental health settings supporting clients with anxiety, depression, trauma, postpartum concerns, life transitions, and psychological assessment.
