Hi, I’m Dr. Brooke Kaufman

Brooke Kaufman. Los Angeles Therapist

On the outside, you may seem like you have it all together—but inside, you might feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of what’s next. Many of my clients are professionals, creatives, students, or caregivers who feel deeply connected to the roles they play in their lives. Some struggle with perfectionism, anxiety, ADHD, or relationship challenges. Often, they’ve achieved a lot but are questioning what fits, what fulfills them, or how to keep going without burning out.

I help clients explore what’s beneath the pressure, clarify their needs, and develop new ways of caring for themselves. Together, we’ll make space for parts of you that feel unseen, build tools to quiet self-doubt and inner criticism, and support you in moving toward a life that feels calmer, freer, and more aligned with what matters most. You’ll learn to care for yourself with less guilt, connect more authentically in your relationships, and feel more confident in your decisions.

My approach blends evidence-based therapies—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness—with insight-oriented strategies to uncover the roots of challenges. For couples, I incorporate the Gottman Method and Emotion-Focused Therapy to support connection, communication, and emotional intimacy.

I’m an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist with experience supporting clients from diverse racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds. You’re invited to bring all parts of yourself to our work together, and I’m committed to providing a safe, supportive space where your identity can be explored without judgment.

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist based in Los Angeles. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin and earned my doctorate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley. Before private practice, I gained experience across hospitals, clinics, and community settings, supporting clients across the lifespan with anxiety, depression, trauma, postpartum challenges, and psychological assessment.
